An intermediate level yearlong program
with Certified Trainers Peggy Smith & Leah Boyd
In this experiential Nonviolent Communication program our journey will lead to embodiment and deepening of NVC awareness and skills. Led by Peggy Smith and Leah Boyd, experienced certified NVC teachers and practitioners, participants will have the opportunity to shift from simply understanding NVC as a concept to living from NVC consciousness. Month by month, a strong and vibrant learning community forms as participants practice deeply together during sessions and in practice groups between sessions.

In this 1/2 day training Leah will share her “best practices” for supporting groups in times of challenge, based on 15 years of facilitating and mediating in a wide range of settings and circumstances.

An NVC training with Certified NVC trainer Leah Boyd
This interactive 7.5 hour training is geared toward those working in professional environments - workplaces, organizations. We will explore the benefits of becoming skillful at both giving and receiving feedback rooted in NVC skills & awareness.
SEPT 18 - 20, 2026
This warm and welcoming in-person retreat is led by Maine Dharma Teachers Peggy Smith and Theodate Lawlor as well as our dear sangha member, Lynn Deeves. We will engage practical listening and speaking skills that build warmth and connection for ourselves and others.
OCT 21-23 & 29/30, 2026

Have you ever wondered how to become a professional mediator? A 40 hour mediation training is the starting point. This 5 day in-person training offered through the Cooperative Extension Services. While it is not specifically an NVC Mediation course, elements of NVC are woven throughout as we cover all the basic skills training that is required to pursue becoming a mediator on most rosters in Maine.

It's designed especially for beginner and intermediate NVC practitioners who want to communicate with more clarity, empathy, and effectiveness - at home, at work, or in their wider community.
